On June 8, 2002, I again participated in the EAA Young Eagles program at Merrill C. Meigs Field in Chicago, IL. I was a volunteer pilot giving young people introductory airplane rides in N9801V. For most of the kids it was their first small airplane ride. The weather was wonderful and although we couldn't fly past the Chicago downtown area like I did last time (due to post Sept 11 2001 security restrictions) everybody seemed to have a great time! I sure did. The sun caused some minor low-level turbulence but we all got through it. We got to see lots of sailboats too!
I tried real hard to match names with the pictures. If I got it wrong, I apologize.
Thanks for the great day and the great memory gang! Enjoy the pictures. - Don
